Top Level Pages
When creating a multi-paged website, it's important to limit the so called "top level pages". These are the main pages that will be visible in the main navigation element of the website. Having too many of these makes it often harder for the visitor to find what he or she is looking for. A good example are event pages. It's not a good idea to have separate links to previous and upcoming events in your main menu. The most used top level pages are the Home page, the About Us page, the Assortment page and the Contact page.
Sub-pages
A great way to offer easier navigation through your website is with sub-menus and dropdown elements in the main navigation. In the example of the event page, it's possible to have a dropdown menu activated with separate links to previous and upcoming events. If you need a website that contains many pages, this is often the best way to offer navigation to your website's visitors. It's not necessarily limited to a layer of top level pages and one layer of sub-pages. These sub-pages can have more nested pages if needed.Basic Multi-Pager
